Village Greens is growing… and now has a qualified full-time grower! We are delighted that Bev Todd has relocated from Hampton Court Gardens in Herefordshire to the Surrey Hills to be with us, bringing with her considerable experience and skills in organic horticulture. Her new outlook has already made a difference to the way we’re doing things on Heathfield, making a real long-term investment in the health of our soil so it can grow better crops for us. And she is gathering a team of eco-helpers around her already, starting with a large toad found in the polytunnels last week, eyeing up the slugs!
But Bev could do with some human helpers too so, if you have a little spare time to give, we can offer in exchange: fun, fresh air and exercise, lots of free gardening advice, new skills… and tea and cake! Give us a ring or call into the shop for details.
